Moved in

Ok guys...I'm sorry we don't have internet right now, but I'll post some pictures soon. I just wanted to update everyone on our move. We are all moved into our little condo...Derek now commutes about 40 minutes to work and I am just trying to figure out what to do about school. We came up here so I could apply for the COTA program at SLCC, but just found out that the program schedule is 8 am to 6 pm EVERYDAY! I'm sorry but it would break my heart to be away from Linnea and Derek so much...so I went and talked to Stevens-Henegar college in Provo and I just really feel the want to do something in the medical field. They offer a program in Respiratory Therapy that is accelerated so I could get my bachelor's degree in less than 30 months!!!! Also, the classes are at night twice a week so that frees up sooooo much time for my sweethearts!!!
But more about the condo...it is cute this week we are going to be painting, it was a single man who lived there and you can tell that no woman did anything so I have been scrubbing and trying to get it to feel clean :) and we are so ready to make it our home for the next few years! We are still looking for a part time job that we need very badly...so if anyone has any ideas let me know :) well I 'll get some pictures on here ASAP I hope everyone has a wonderful mother's day!!!

Bittersweet...

Well we are closing on our condo today at 4. It's kind of bittersweet as I think about leaving St. George...I'm super excited not to go through a blazing summer again, but I've lived down here for the last 3 years and alot has happened down here for me. All my college memories are here, Derek and I met down here, my first time going through the temple was down here, Linnea was born here, and just alot of good things. I am so excited to start the new chapter we have coming up, but I am sad to say good-bye to sunny St. George...at least it'll be a fun get away spot for our family to visit grandma and grandpa Childs.

Condo

Well...some good, scary, exciting news...our bank let us know that they are planning to close on the condo we are trying to buy on Tuesday! It's pretty exciting, but I am a little scared at the same time with the shaky economy, but it was a great time to buy at the same time. So this is our last weekend in St. George as the plans are right now. The condo is in the Ranches, which is in between Eagle Mountain and Lehi...it's kind of a drive from I-15, but after living in Morgan I'm used to the boons :) It is a 3 bed 2 full bath condo that is in a community filled with young couples and families so that is exciting. I'll get some pictures as soon as I can. Well I am excited to get up North no that the weather is getting really hot down here it'll be nice to cool down and have some more space in our home.

Catching up

Well I am a little behind on updates...Derek and I went up North this last weekend for Easter, because baby Asher was getting blessed. We stayed with my parents at first then went down to Draper for the baby blessing and spent the day with Derek's family...so that was really fun. I wish I had pictures I had my camera but it seems like I just leave all the picture taking to my mom while I'm up there and then when I come home I wish I had used ours :). Well I don't know if anyone knows, but we are in the process of buying a condo up by Lehi and the bank told me yesterday that we should be ready to close next week. It was a big decision, but the rates are so low right now that the monthly payment is close to the same as rent so we decided to go for it. The condo is in the Ranches (kind of a strange name) but I think it'll be a great little starter and will be great for Linnea, because there are a bunch of young couples like us and alot of little kids. Our real estate agent said they have two primaries so she'll have lots of little friends to play with! The greatest part is it has a gym and swimming pool how fun is that going to be. So that is exciting right now, so if anyone is thinking of buying I think it is a good time...
Some updates on the beautiful little girl...she has officially started rice mushy cereal and loves it!!! She also has discovered her voice and her feet. It is soooooooooo adorable to watch her...she just looks at her toes and moves them all around and coos at them. Right now she is sitting in her swing making the cutest baby noises to herself...so cute. She got her 4 month vaccines on wednesday...for some reason I couldn't handle it this time...I stayed in the room on her 2 month ones but I had to go out in the hall this time...So it was up to Derek to hold her, poor little girl. But our pediatrician told us that she is just as healthy as ever and she is super super long...like she is longer than 91% of babies her age so here comes a volleyball or basketball player :) Life is really really good right now, I hope things are going great for everyone else, anyone in school have fun with finals, we aren't looking forward to ours :(

Happy Birthday Derek/ News on my mom

I know my sign is awesomeWell it was Derek's 23rd birthday last Thursday....it was fun, I got him a DQ Ice cream cake on his request it was sooo yummy, then his parents took us out to dinner at a Chinese place on bluff street it was pretty good, Derek really liked it so that is what is important. For his birthday I bought him a luv sac a few weeks ago, we don't have it down here my parents are holding it for us until we move. It was alot of fun to celebrate his birthday...I love him so so so much he is such an awesome hubby and great daddy!!!!

After dinner I was having some major allergy problems so we ran to target to get me some meds...we just kind of wandered around for awhile until of course my husband who will always be a kid at heart wound up in the toy aisle. He found this cookie monster toy that made noises when you shook it and it made Linnea just crack up...I think that was the highlight of his night...she for sure loves her daddy :)

Ok So also I just wanted to update friends and family about my poor mommy!!! She just got diagnosed with Celiacs Disease. So her diet is changing drastically...it's pretty much my worst nightmare. She cannot eat anything with wheat gluten, barely gluten or rye gluten. It doesn't sound too bad until you start reading the backs of food and researching it. She has found out that there is gluten in lipstick!!!! She can't eat anything with gluten, not even a little or it ups her chances of cancer by 40-100%. It's been kind of rough for her, but I know she'll handle it with a great attitude, she always does. She is such a great lady and I love her soooo much!!!!

Well Linnea is such a big girl now...I kept putting her on that blanket so I could get something done and whenever I would check on her she was totally somewhere else until finally she ended up on top of our shoes :)
